Chronic pain? Headaches? Busy days leading to repetitive strain? This treatment is for you.
Therapeutic massage targets the deeper layers of muscles in the body. This treatment is used to treat specific areas and conditions, aiding in tension relief and decreasing aches / pains. Trigger Point therapy is incorporated during this treatment if needed which is used to treat the taught bands of muscle that may refer pain to other areas of the body.
Book for a focused treatment or when desiring a more intense pressure.
Wanting improved mobility? Experiencing IT Band discomfort? Ask for this to be included in your therapeutic treatment.
Myofascial cupping therapy can be incorporated into a therapeutic massage to decrease stagnation, increasing blood and lymph flow to the skin and muscles. This technique's benefits include maintaining range of motion, eliminating myofascial trigger points and reducing myofascial adhesions commonly found with repetitive movements.
Marking may occur due to this improvement in blood flow and will decrease over time. Myofascial cupping is a modified version of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and uses manual vacuum cups that are set on the body and used to glide across areas with tension.
This treatment has been very beneficial for stubborn pain and runner's recovery.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Did you just have surgery? Are you experiencing chronic edema (swelling)?
Manual lymphatic drainage uses a gentle massage to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph from the body tissues. This is used to aid in swelling reduction and to help the body filter out toxins.
Book this for problematic fluid retention, especially if you've had lymph nodes removed.
Jaw clicking? Trouble chewing certain foods? Book a therapeutic treatment with TMJ (temporomandibular joint) focus.
TMJ Massage is used to treat temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. The TMJ is the joint connecting the jaw to the temporal bones of the skull, located in front of each ear. TMJ disorders can exhibit symptoms such as popping, clicking, and locking of the jaw as well as potential pain in the TMJ / face / neck / ear / shoulders.
This treatment focuses on relaxing the muscles of mastication including the back, neck, face, and scalp with intraoral work done with a gloved hand if required.
This treatment may also be called TMJD / TMD.
Hip discomfort during pregnancy? Low back pain? Tired feet?
Prenatal massage uses a light - medium pressure to provide relaxation and aid in tension release from the stresses of pregnancy. It is offered during all trimesters with positioning adjusted accordingly. This treatment can be done laying on your stomach/back (prone/supine) without pillows or using the prenatal cushion as preferred. There is also the option of being side-lying for this treatment.
Enjoy a gently therapeutic treatment during your pregnancy to help ease any discomfort.
Not able to get that muscle to relax just enough? Needing more engagement during a specific movement?
The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Proper application provides muscles and joints with support without restricting their range of motion and it has the ability to re-educate the neuromuscular system, reduce pain and inflammation, prevent injury, optimize performance and promote good circulation and healing.
The Kinesio® Tape is applied after a dry (no massage gel used) massage therapy treatment to support skin adherence.
Request this with your therapeutic treatment to help prolong the benefits of your massage.
In need of a safe space to allow yourself to simply be? Feel overwhelmed or tired? Take this time for you.
A relaxation massage looks at the body as a whole with the main goal to relieve stress. Light / medium pressure is used in a variety of techniques to release muscle tension and toxins.
You deserve this opportunity to rest and recover.
Book for a general treatment that uses a less intense pressure.
